Baja Haha Day 8

Milagro concluded leg 2 of this circus at 0700 this morning when we secured the anchor in 28′ of Bahia Santa Maria sand. Secured at N24 46.5′ W112 15.23 we relax today and enjoy showers and some R & R.

The best word to describe the last 24 hours of the passage would be “boring”. But, that is not a complaint – in this context boring is good. Nearly calm seas and light, ambiguous winds drove us to a low RPM motorsail for much of the way.

We’ve now had those showers as well as naps and have launched the dinghy. We’re thinking we might make a beach landing this afternoon and do a little beach combing. Ormaybe the pull of more “relaxing” will prove too strong to resist in which case, we won’t. There is always tomorrow. We’re cruising, right?

Speaking of tomorrow, the Haha organization has arranged for the locals (Locals? Hah, there aren’t any “locals” here) to put on a lunch feed complete with a band and cold beer. We are planning to attend so maybe we’d better rest up today. You know, conserve energy. I’ll let you know how it turns out.

Well it sounds like your adventure down the Baja coast is going well. We are in the Marina in La Paz as of the 1st & you have a slip assignment beginning on the 12th. Slip #229 – center finger south side facing north. We are in #204 just a few doors down. Have a great time finishing up your trip down & i will try not to drink all of the cold beer before you arrive.
